Edmonton Mortgage Broker Gordon McCallum Winner of Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) of the Year

Edmonton, Alberta, November 23, 2011 – First Foundation, an Edmonton, Alberta based mortgage brokerage, announced today that it’s founder and President Gordon McCallum is the winner of the prestigious “AMP of the Year” award. The award was announced by the Chair of CAAMP – the Canadian Association of Accredited Mortgage Professionals – Boris Bozic, AMP, and was presented at the CAAMP Mortgage Forum Hall of Fame Awards Night November 20th in Toronto.

“I’m very grateful for the honour,” said Gordon McCallum, First Foundation’s President. “There are so many great representatives of the AMP designation and the mortgage industry and many deserving candidates, so to be chosen for this award is both surprising and humbling. I owe my success to those who have blazed the trail.”

The AMP of the Year award is in recognition of outstanding commitment to the support and enhancement of the AMP designation.

Earlier this year First Foundation was a finalist for the award of “Mortgage Brokerage of the Year” for firms with fewer than 25 employees and the winner of the “Best Internet Presence” award at the 2011 Canadian Mortgage Professional CMA Awards. “It has been an incredible year for our firm and I’m so proud of all the hard work that our team has put in to earn this sort of recognition. At the same time, it just makes us hungry to do more and raise the bar for ourselves.” said McCallum.

The annual Mortgage Forum was held from November 20-22, 2011 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The conference featured a trade expo, career day, Mortgage Hall of Fame Awards gala, an economic roundtable, and an impressive roster of high profile guest speakers, including the Rt. Honourable Joe Clark, Terry Bradshaw, Seth Godin, Barbara Corcoran, and more.
