Angela Epp, a Red-Deer, Alberta-based mortgage broker with First Foundation, was recently named a Woman of Influence by Canadian Mortgage Professional magazine. This industry-focused publication highlighted Epp and several other leading female mortgage brokers from across Canada who are leaders in their fields. "I'm very proud of Angela for all she's accomplished throughout her career and for the hard work, dedication, and commitment she shows every day. It's no surprise to me that she's been recognized as a leader in the Canadian mortgage industry," said Gordon McCallum, CEO of First Foundation.
Epp has been a standout mortgage broker - not only for the high volume of mortgages she funds annually, or for the many positive mortgage broker reviews from her clients, but for her efforts within the First Foundation organization, her Leadership Award from the Alberta Mortgage Brokers Association, and for her development work with Leader Impact and her local church.
"It’s an honour to be recognized among our country’s leading women in the mortgage industry," said Epp. "To me, I am just doing what I have always done- treating clients in the same way I would want to be treated, providing help and support to co workers when an opportunity presents itself, and looking for opportunities to grow and stretch along the way. Being named as a CMP Woman of Influence has raised the bar of expectation to a new level where I have a responsibility to represent my industry well. I look forward to the challenge."
In addition to this recent honour from CMP Magazine, First Foundation is pleased to announce that Angela Epp has been promoted to the head of the First Foundation mortgage division as the new Broker of Record - effective immediately - succeeding the firm's founder, Gordon McCallum, who started the company in 2002. "I couldn't think of a better person, a stronger leader, or a more worthy successor than Angela Epp. She possesses all of the talent, skill, leadership and character to lead our mortgage division and the great people within it," added McCallum.
First Foundation, founded in 2002, is a national award-winning brokerage headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, that is dedicated to helping Canadians own a home, and own it sooner.
