Thank You So Much!

Thank You For Making Me a Top 50 Broker in Canada!

I’m deeply honoured and humbled to have been recently named to CMP Magazine’s Top 50 Broker list in Canada (PDF). Needless to say it was a surprise to be on the list – let alone as high as #16. I’m thankful to all of our customers who have chosen us to arrange their mortgages for them and to our lending partners, who make it easy for us to compete with the big banks. Not only that, I’m really grateful to my staff who do a wonderful job taking care of people who are buying homes, refinancing, or who have mortgages up for renewal.

Congratulations to the other Brokers in the Top 50, and especially those in the Top 5. Your example gives us all something to try to emulate. Keep up the good work!

Thanks again for your business, for your loyalty over the years, and for your referrals. They are greatly appreciated…and with any luck, maybe we can crack the Top 10 next year!

Edmonton Mortgage Broker Named to Canadian Mortgage Professional’s “Top 50 Brokers in Canada”

Edmonton, AB, Canada July 10, 2008 – First Foundation is pleased to announce that Gordon McCallum, an Edmonton Mortgage Broker and owner of the company, has been named to Canadian Mortgage Professional Magazine’s list of the Top 50 Mortgage Brokers in Canada with a final ranking of 16th in the country.

“I’m thrilled with the results, and frankly, a little surprised,” said Gordon. “I wasn’t sure if I’d be even close to being included on the list, so it was very exciting when I received the news. It’s a real honour to be mentioned on the same page with such a great group of Mortgage Brokers. I’ve admired many of them since I began my career and have a great deal of respect for what they’ve accomplished.”

Canadian Mortgage Professional Magazine ( released the inaugural survey results recently after compiling and verifying the information provided by Mortgage Brokers across Canada. The rankings are based on mortgage origination volume, or, in other words, the amount of money borrowed by home-owners that was brokered by the individual.

“I really owe my success and the success of First Foundation to our customers and our staff. I have fantastic people working for me and they are true professionals. There is no way I could have originated $57 million in mortgages in 2007 without their assistance,” said McCallum. “I also want to congratulate the rest of the Brokers on the list, especially Larry Barclay, also from Edmonton, who was named the top Broker in Canada. Most importantly, I want to thank the people who have chosen us to broker their mortgages. Without their loyalty, their referrals, and their friendship, we would be nowhere today.”
