Long Term GIC (1-5 Years)

If you don’t expect to require your initial investment in less than a year, long term GICs are the way to go. We offer both “annual” and “annual compound” payments. For “annual” interest is accrued and paid annually. For “annual compound” interest is accrued annually and paid at maturity. As of these GICs are non-redeemable, meaning they must be held to maturity in order to receive your full guaranteed return.

Short Term GIC (30-364 Days)

If you have a shorter time horizon, or you anticipate possibly requiring the funds in less than a year, a short term GIC may be best for you. Interest earned is accrued annually and paid at maturity. These are also non-redeemable, and must be held to maturity in order to receive the full benefit.
