Canadian Mortgage Awards 2010 - Call for Nominations!

In 2009 First Foundation was privileged to have been selected as a finalist in the Canadian Mortgage Awards for “Best Customer Service from an Individual Office.” We didn’t win, so we need your help to get back to Toronto this year and try again!

Canadian Mortgage Professional Magazine publishes the Mortgage Broker News as well as Canadian Realestate and they’ve been big supporters of ours and our industry.

We’re asking for your help! If you’ve worked with us in the past year and consider us worthy of a nomination, please visit the CMP Canadian Mortgage Awards nomination page and send in your nomination. It will only take a couple of minutes, but we would greatly appreciate it.

Of course, it’s up to you what you nominate us for, but we’re particularly proud of our efforts – as imperfect as they may be – in a couple of areas:

1. Best Internet Presence.

We feel really strongly that we have one of the most comprehensive Canadian mortgage websites in the country. Every mortgage broker has a website – but not many of them can say that it directly accounts for a third of their business on an annual basis.

2. Best Customer Service from an Individual Office.

We would really like a chance to compete to win this category again. With your help, we can! It’s hard for me to say “our service is better than everyone else’s” because we don’t have any control over what other brokers are doing. All we have to go on is a few facts:

• Two-thirds of our business comes from repeat customers and word-of-mouth referrals. I think that means we’re doing something right.
  
• Our funding volume for 2009 is up over 25% compared to 2008 – showing that even in the midst of a terrible recession, First Foundation has a lot of satisfied customer.
  
• We’ve made so many good friends. It’s hard to put a number on this, but we’ve always tried to treat our customers like a family member or a friend. We appreciate your business and we hope you feel that appreciation when you deal with us.

I’ll leave it up to you to decide whether or not we’re deserving of these or any other awards. In any case, whether we are nominated or not, we’ll continue to work hard to earn your business and get better at what we do every day.
