Edmonton, Alberta, April 1, 2013 - First Foundation Announces Name Change to Kilted Brokers Inc.

First Foundation, a Western Canadian provider of mortgage brokerage and insurance brokerage services, headquartered in Edmonton, today announced that the company is launching a new brand: Kilted Brokers Inc.

“We’re very excited about our new brand,” said First Foundation founder and President, Gordon McCallum. “With the acquisition of Highland Mortgage Partners late last year we gained access to unique and proprietary tartans and colours that will really give us an edge in the competitive world of mortgages and insurance.”

The change will bring about a new logo, soon to be revealed, and yet another website redesign. Says McCallum, “We missed spending all of our money and time on our website since the last one was finished, three months ago, so we decided to start over!”

Effective April 1, 2013 all staff at the renamed firm will dress in traditional Scottish attire, including a kilt and sporran, haggis will be served on lunch breaks and clips of Mel Gibson as William Wallace will be shown from time to time to raise morale and increase productivity.

Jackson Middleton, the original “Kilted Broker” who represents the company in Regina, Saskatchewan, reacted positively to the change. “It’s about time they listened to me. I am a marketing genius, after all. Even though I’m not really Scottish, I think this is a positive move in the right direction.”

The rebranding has already been approved by the provincial regulator, the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA), according to spokesperson April Fuuls.
