McHappy Day for Ronald McDonald Houses

Our friends at Pure Logic Solutions asked us to mention this on our blog and invite you to join them, Schmidt Realty Group, and First Foundation on May 2nd to support Ronald McDonald Houses. Here are the details:

On May 2, 2012, McDonald’s restaurants across the country will celebrate McHappy Day, an annual fundraising event where $1 from every Big Mac sandwich, Happy Meal and hot McCafé beverage sold will go to local Ronald McDonald Houses. Last year McDonald’s was able to raise over 3 million dollars on this special day. This year marks the 19th anniversary of this wonderful event.

We were SO proud to be invited to volunteer one hour of our time to work at a McDonald’s location of our choice, in support of the Ronald McDonald House. We chose to volunteer at the McDonald’s on Calgary Trail and 51 avenue in Edmonton, from 11:30am to 12:30pom.

We wanted to make a big deal out of this event so we asked our friends at First Foundation and Schmidt Realty if they would want to volunteer along side us. Graciously, they accepted our invitation. To make a bigger impact, as a team the three of our companies have decided to ALL match McDonald’s donations from your purchases for the hour that we are there, until we reach our goal. That’s 4x what would normally be donated!

What can YOU do to help us reach our goal? Come in to the Calgary Trail and 51 avenue Edmonton location, between 11:30am and 12:30pm and purchase a Big Mac sandwich, Happy Meal or a hot McCafe beverage. Please make sure to mention that you heard about the event from us.

Every person who comes in will receive a special invitation to tour the 42,000 square foot Ronald McDonald House Northern AB. You will also be entered to win a special opportunity for you and your family to join us as VIP guests at one of their wonderful “Home for Dinner” evenings, where volunteers come in to prepare a home cooked meal for the children and families in the house.
