Mortgage Deferral Information Canada

By

Mortgage Deferral Resources for Canadians During the Covid-19 Outbreak:

Please note that information about mortgage payment deferrals is changing rapidly and we will update this post as new information becomes available. The latest information we have from mortgage lenders is that payment deferrals and other requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. There is no guarantee that your payment will be deferred just because you ask. Our best advice would be to document your particular hardship and quantify it. For example, job loss, reduced hours, business closure, tenants refusing to pay rent, etc. This may improve your chances of obtaining mortgage payment relief.

Lender contact information will be presented below. Our sources tell us that lender phone banks are overloaded with inquiries, so please consult your lender's contact information page for other means, like a client portal or email address. Every effort is being made to respond to clients as quickly as possible.
