Twitter Account Under New Management

Let me start by saying Hello! This is my first entry on the First Foundation site and I am excited to connect with you on the blog, twitter and other social platforms! To get a better understanding of who I am and where I am coming from, please check out my bio page. However, as it relates to Twitter, let me tell you that "I joined the conversation" (that is something people say when they sign up for twitter) as @kiltedbroker in Aug of 2010. I have used the platform to connect with hundreds of local people and have found it a tremendous asset in developing business relationships. I am looking forward to collaborating with @gordmccallum as we bring some personality to the @firstfoundation handle.

First Foundation joined the conversation (no bracketed explanation a second time) in 2009 and has been managed by a third party service. They were given a mandate to follow local people and share Western Canadian economic news. Now, it is no secret that I am not the biggest fan of managed accounts because in my opinion I just don't believe you can automate authenticity - I love corporate twitter accounts that have a personality! I believe that people should do business with people they know, like and trust, so...

In an effort to connect with our clients and business partners in a more meaningful way - our "Twitter Account is Under New Management" - and that new management is us!

Our goal is to continue to provide the most relevant economic news to our followers, however that news might now come with an opinion or two. Developing strong relationships with other real estate industry professionals has been something I have enjoyed doing on my personal account, I look forward to doing that in a more official capacity. We are in the process of developing lists of Canadian Professionals who are on twitter (and other platforms) - you can subscribe to any of our twitter lists here.
