There are some changes coming to the dental industry. As of December 1, 2022, Dental Assistants are now required to carry their own professional liability insurance. Up until this point the coverage has been through the College of Alberta Dental Assistants however that will no longer be in force after Nov 30, 2022.
What is Professional Liability Insurance?
Professional Liability Insurance protects you against charges of negligence or harm resulting from the professional service or advice you provide. It is also known as errors and omissions insurance, or medical malpractice insurance. You can read more about it here:
