Meet Lorna Henderson, the latest addition to our First Foundation family! As our new Broker Admin Assistant, Lorna isn’t just bringing 35 years of rich insurance experience to the table—she’s bringing a zest for life and a dedication to mentorship that’s hard to match.
Starting her career managing accounts in 1989, Lorna quickly climbed the ranks from underwriter to senior underwriter. Her expertise? A bit of everything, but she shines in Personal Lines, Farm Property, and even dabbles in Commercial Auto insurance. After swinging into early retirement in 2023, she soon realized she was too jazzed about life to just sit back. This revelation led her straight to us, and we couldn’t be happier!
At First Foundation, Lorna is all about making changes—for the better. She’s keen to help our newer team members find their footing, demystifying insurance systems and the sometimes baffling jargon of our industry. She’s the go-to guru who’s always ready to lend a hand, helping everyone focus on what really matters.
When she’s not empowering our team, Lorna gives back to the community, serving up warm meals annually at the local drop-in center. But life isn’t all work and no play for Lorna! She keeps active with gym sessions (though she’ll tell you it’s not her favorite), games of pickleball, and serene walks. Summers are spent at her beloved lake lot, and travel is always on the agenda when she can get away.
A true animal lover, Lorna treasures her pets as much as her family. Now calling Cochrane home, she’s embraced the heart and spirit of our community since 2019.
