Born in Melfort, Saskatchewan, with stops in Fort McMurray, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and back to the Edmonton area in 2018, Crystal's experience extends well beyond most. Prior to becoming a Mortgage Broker with First Foundation, Crystal worked as a Special Finance Manager in the automotive industry, so lending is nothing new to her. Strong business relationships with lenders, consistent follow-up, and support for her clients, allowed her to have great success.
It wasn't the finance business that taught her the most, however. It was her 15 years in Mexico, when she and her husband owned and operated a real estate and construction company. They were able to build an organization that provided honest and dependable service by focusing on the needs of their clients. Crystal guided clients through the, often very different, buying and selling process in Mexico, helped them with the offer to purchase contracts - often in two languages - and made their property investments as smooth as possible.
Asked why she joined First Foundation, Crystal said, "I chose to work with First Foundation because of their small-town atmosphere with big-city delivery! A company that is small enough to know you by name, but large enough to provide all the services you need, whether it be in mortgages, insurance, or financial planning. My interest in the industry stemmed from my previous involvement in real estate and helping people attain their property investment goals. Dealing with mortgages can be a daunting and an overwhelming task for many people and my goal is to provide a service that is as reliable, honest, and enjoyable as possible!"
My main goal, simply put, is to treat clients how I would want to be treated.
When she was in Mexico, Crystal could often be found at the local orphanage, helping to find donors for new shoes or a Christmas toy for the children. Back in Canada,when she's not arranging mortgages for a growing list of clients, Crystal can be found on the golf course, outdoors with her family, enjoying the open spaces, fresh air, and beautiful scenery of our amazing province of Alberta. Whether it's on the course, walking her dogs, riding a bike, on a hiking trail, or skiing, if it's outdoors, she's into it!
